"I was thinking about you.... Thinking about you while listening to the rain...."

Welcome to Midnight Confessions. I’m your host, Elle Q

I was laying in my bed thinking about you. Thinking about you while listening to the rain. Thinking… hmm. Just thinking.

You know, when clients come to me, I always say to them:

“Be here. Be now. Be in this moment, this present moment. Don’t worry about the past. Don’t worry about the outcome.”

And I’m thinking… hmm.

We become so focused on allowing our minds to grow clouded and overwhelmed because we constantly think about the past. We think about the future. We overload our brains with stress, with what’s happening in the world, with everything outside of ourselves.

Doesn’t that make you think?
Doesn’t that make you wander?

Every time a client comes to see me, I remind them:

“Don’t worry about the past. Don’t worry about the outcome. Don’t worry about the future or where you need to be. Just be here. Just be now.”

And I sit with them.

I don’t say much at first. I simply listen.

I listen to how they speak.
I notice how they move their hands and their body.
Are they tense?
Are they stressed?
Anxious? Nervous? Excited?
Or simply comfortable?

Now don’t get me wrong, clients often come in nervous because they don’t know what to expect. But as we sit together, something shifts.

Their shoulders soften.
Their words begin to flow.
They become relaxed within my space. Comfortable. Safe. Warm. Loved.

And I always remind them:

“Don’t worry about the past. Don’t think about it. Be here. Be now. This is for you. This is your connection. This is your Tantra.”

Then I ask them a simple question:

“What do you need?”

What do you need for today?
For this moment?

And if I asked you that question right now… would you be able to answer it?

Maybe not.

Because perhaps no one has ever truly asked you what you need in this moment, in this time.

With Tantra, we ask those questions. We allow space for the answer to arrive naturally. There is no rush. That is the beauty of a session.

We sit.
You close your eyes.
You feel into yourself.

Maybe the answer comes as a word.
Maybe it’s a feeling, an emotion, or a memory.

And then we simply sit with that information.

The only thing I ask is this:

Don’t worry about the past.
Don’t overthink the future.
Don’t worry about the outcome.

Just be there.
Be in the moment.
Let go of the surroundings.
Let go of everything around you.

And just… be.

It’s like me laying in bed, listening to the rain, thinking about you.

Now you’re probably wondering why I keep mentioning listening to the rain.

Because listening is one of our most beautiful senses.

With every client I see, I take the time to truly listen. I listen to what they need, how they’re feeling, and what brought them to this moment.

Why did they come to this session?
Why now?
What is their body asking for?

And when I lay in my bed with the window open while it rains, snows, hails, or when the birds are chirping and the leaves are blowing, I take that time to truly listen to nature.

I breathe into my own body.
I listen to what my body is saying.

What does my body need in that moment?

And then I bring that same practice into my sessions with my clients.

When we sit together on my sofa, I listen deeply.

I notice their facial expressions.
Their hands.
Their body movements.

I hear how they breathe.
I can even hear their heartbeat.

Is it racing?
Is it fast?
Slow?
Steady?

It’s amazing how much you can hear and see within another person when you truly practice being present.

Tantra is not about sex.

Tantra is about connection.
Feeling.
Creating openness.
Creating space.
Creating an energetic awakening within your body, your heart, your soul, and your relationships with your partners and lovers.

So yes, of course there’s a dare in this episode.

I dare you to lay on your bed, your sofa, or your floor, wherever you feel comfortable, and simply listen to your surroundings.

Practice listening.

Maybe it’s your children laughing or crying.
Maybe your partner is talking, singing, or speaking softly nearby.
Maybe it’s dogs barking, cats meowing, birds singing, leaves blowing, or a storm outside your window.

Just listen.

And then pay attention to your body’s response.

What is happening inside of you?

Is your body tingling?
Vibrating?
Is your heart racing?
Calm?
Steady?

Has your breathing changed?
Are your palms sweating?
Do you feel hot or cold?

I want you to truly notice yourself in that moment.

And I dare you to do this every single day.

Five minutes.
Ten minutes.

Soon it will become natural, and you’ll find yourself doing it longer and longer.

Why do I ask you to do this?

Because we don’t do it anymore.

We don’t sit still and truly listen.
We don’t feel.
We don’t pay attention to how our bodies react.

And when you begin to listen, you begin to discover what you truly need.

So I dare you to discover.

And don’t be shy.

Just listen.

You never know what you might discover about yourself.

Enjoy listening to the sounds around you and discovering what your body needs.

I dare you to discover.

XOXO,
LQ
