Welcome to the Night Confessions. I'm your host, Elle Q

Does Tantra work? Yes… it absolutely does. But instead of talking about my clients’ experiences, I’m going to share my own.

From reading every Tantra book I could get my hands on, to attending courses and workshops, to finding my incredible teacher in Vancouver, this journey has been deeply personal. And even now, as I work with clients, I continue to discover something new every single time. Even though I know my techniques, there is always something new to explore, a new way of touch, movement, or breath. Tantra is always evolving, and that’s what makes it so exciting and alive.

The more you practice Tantra, the more connected you feel to yourself. You begin to heal, to release trauma, and to love yourself more deeply. You start to love your body, your growth, and who you are as a person.

Tantra is about connecting to your energy centers, especially your root and sacral chakras. Your root chakra is located between your genitals and your anus, and it relates to grounding, safety, security, and your connection to the physical world. When this area is imbalanced, you may feel ungrounded, unsafe, or uncertain in life.

Your sacral chakra, located just below your belly button, is your center of sexuality, sensuality, creativity, and inner child energy. When it’s blocked, you may feel disconnected from your creativity, your sensual self, or your sexual energy.

These two energy centers work closely together. I often imagine them like yin and yang, spinning together. When both are open and flowing, you feel deeply connected to yourself and more open in intimacy, whether with yourself or a partner.

For me, my practice began with breath. I would go for walks and simply breathe, allowing energy to move through my body. Over time, that breath became natural, rhythmic, and deeply connected to my body. I learned how to move energy through myself, sometimes feeling intense waves of sensation and release.

This breathwork began to flow into everything I did. Cooking, dancing, walking, and even working out. I love dancing while I cook, moving freely and allowing my body to express itself. Sometimes it’s just a gentle warmth building, other times it’s a deeper energetic experience.

I also brought this breath into my workouts. Tantra breath helps generate energy, so if I ever feel low, I use it to create that boost. It allows me to connect more deeply to my body, my muscles, my breath, and my movement. I’ve become more aware, more present, and more in tune with myself.

Tantra isn’t just something you practice in one space, it becomes a way of being. I use it when I’m talking to friends, helping me stay present, listen deeply, and connect with compassion. It keeps me grounded and open.

This energy can be directed into anything, your work, your creativity, your relationships. You can set intentions and guide that energy wherever you need it.

And yes, Tantra deeply transforms intimacy.

Through breath and awareness, intimacy becomes slower, more connected, and more present. It’s no longer about rushing or performance, but about feeling, connection, and shared energy. It allows for deeper sensitivity, deeper connection, and a more expansive experience overall.

For me personally, everything has changed. My relationship with my body, my sensuality, and my experiences have all evolved. Tantra has opened a completely new world for me.

But more than anything, Tantra brought me home to myself.

It has helped me connect to who I am, what I desire, what brings me joy, and how I move through the world. It has deepened my connection to nature, to the people I love, and even to the smallest moments in life.

It has also brought up things that needed healing. The process can be intense, but it allows healing to happen faster and more honestly. And through that, there is growth.

Tantra has given me a community, a sense of belonging, and a deeper understanding of myself. It has allowed me to step into who I truly am without hiding.

It has shown me that life is meant to be felt, not rushed through.

So yes, Tantra works. Not just in intimacy, but in every part of your life.

It opens your eyes, your body, and your heart.

And maybe… just maybe… it sparks a little curiosity in you too.

XOXO,
Elle Q
