Welcome to Midnight Confessions. I’m your host, Elle Q

Thank you for joining me tonight.

I’d like to talk about Tantra. When you hear the word Tantra, you may immediately think it’s taboo, wrong, mysterious, or something that makes you blush. Maybe you’ve never even heard of it before. And that’s okay.

I practice Tantra in my personal life, with myself, with lovers and partners, and I also offer tantric sessions to my clients. But what makes my approach different is that I blend spiritual Tantra with sensual and sexual energy. I don’t separate the two, because I believe you cannot truly have one without the other. When they come together, they create something deeply powerful, healing, and alive within the body.

I’ve been practicing Tantra for many years, and I love what it creates, not only for myself, but for my clients and the people around me. Everyone has their own understanding of what Tantra is, and there’s no right or wrong interpretation. But I do want to clear up one thing:

Tantra is not about sex during sessions.

Yes, Tantra works with sexual energy and sensual connection, but it’s really about reconnecting with yourself,  your body, your breath, your desires, your confidence, your self-worth, and your ability to feel alive again.

Tantra is about loving yourself again.

It’s about reconnecting to your sensuality, your sexuality, your touch, your breath, and your life force. It’s about releasing shame, judgment, insecurity, and self-doubt. It’s about allowing yourself to feel pleasure, connection, confidence, softness, safety, and yes… incredible orgasms too.

But for that to happen, you have to let go.

You have to surrender to the experience and trust the process.

When a client comes to see me, the first thing I offer is a warm welcome. Usually there’s a hug,  always with consent first. Then a glass of water, a seat on my sofa, calming music, candles, incense, sage, and my Christmas tree glowing softly in the corner.

Yes… my Christmas tree stays up year-round.

And every single client comments on it.

They love it. They say it makes them feel calm and safe. Maybe it’s the soft lighting, maybe it’s the comfort of it, or maybe it’s simply because it feels welcoming. Whatever the reason, it helps people relax. They sit down, take a breath, and begin talking openly about what they need, what they’re seeking, and what brought them to me.

And I listen.

I ask about consent. I ask about boundaries. Boundaries are deeply important in Tantra.

If there’s ever an area that feels emotionally triggering or uncomfortable, I tell my clients they can simply take my hand or forearm and say, “Not today.” And we move on. No pressure. No judgment. Just respect.

That, to me, is beautiful.

Tantra is about connection.

Sometimes what someone truly needs is simply another person sitting with them. Holding their hand. Rubbing the back of their neck. Listening. Being present. Loving them without shame or expectation.

Then there’s the table.

Yes, there’s a massage table, oils, warmth, music, and breathwork. Clients can choose to be fully naked or semi-naked,  whatever makes them feel comfortable and safe.

I always begin gently. I pay attention to the body, how it moves, reacts, softens, breathes. I guide clients into breathwork because breath is one of the most powerful tools in Tantra. It creates connection, relaxation, awareness, and energy throughout the body.

When someone is on my table, I see all of them.

I notice their scars, tattoos, stretch marks, injuries, expressions, and the stories written across their skin. And instead of judgment, I see beauty. I see someone worthy of love, softness, care, and acceptance.

We live in a world that judges bodies constantly. Age, weight, scars, cellulite, wrinkles — people are so quick to criticize themselves and others. But Tantra teaches us to stop judging and start honoring ourselves instead.

To truly see ourselves.

To feel alive again.

That is what my sessions are truly about.

Yes, pleasure can happen. Relaxation can happen. Orgasms can happen. But deeper than all of that is this:

I want people to feel alive again.

I want them to reconnect with their confidence, sensuality, sexuality, creativity, breath, and life force energy. I want them to stop walking through life disconnected from themselves.

To me, Tantra is about awakening.

It’s about healing old wounds, releasing shame and trauma, reconnecting with your body, and allowing yourself to expand into who you truly are.

Tantra is not just about sex.

It’s about becoming fully alive.

So my dare for you today is simple:

Go explore Tantra.

Research it. Read books. Listen to teachers and practitioners. Discover what it means to you personally. Every practitioner expresses Tantra differently, and every experience is unique.

And if you ever feel called to experience a tantric session, find a practitioner who feels aligned for you.

Because this work is about rediscovering yourself.

It’s about coming alive again.

XOXO,
LQ
